Terms of Use

Acceptable use

You may play, download and share any sound on this site for personal entertainment — Discord chats, group texts, livestreams, classroom moments, video edits and remixes. You may build custom soundboards on top of our library and share them via our soundboard maker.

Commercial use

Many of the sounds on Sound Buttons Hub originate from copyrighted material — TV shows, movies, music, viral videos. We host them under fair-use principles for educational and entertainment purposes. You are responsible for checking the copyright status of any individual clip before using it commercially. If in doubt, don't.

Service availability

The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no uptime guarantee. We aim for 99.9% availability and the site is hosted on a global CDN, but we make no warranty that any particular sound will be playable at any particular moment.

Take-down requests

If you're a copyright holder and want a specific clip removed from the library, email [email protected] with the URL and proof of ownership. We process valid take-down requests within 24 hours.

Global chat & user-generated content

The global chat room at /chat/ lets you post text, share GIFs from Giphy, and drop links to sound buttons. By posting, you agree to the following:

  • Be respectful. No harassment, slurs, hate speech, sexual content, or threats. Repeat offenders are auto-muted for 24 hours; severe abuse results in a permanent IP ban.
  • No outside links or uploads. Only Giphy GIFs and our own /sounds/* URLs render. Pasted external links are stripped.
  • No personal information. Don't share your real name, address, phone number, school, email or anyone else's. The site is used by minors.
  • Reporting. Hit the ⚑ flag on any message to report it; reports are reviewed weekly. We may remove messages, mute users or ban IPs at our discretion.
  • No retention claim. Messages live in a rolling 50-message buffer and are not durably stored. Don't post anything you'd want a copy of.
  • Age. If you're under 13, ask a parent or guardian before using the chat. We don't collect accounts or emails, but other users can see what you post.
  • Kill switch. We may disable the chat at any time without notice to address safety or abuse.

Limitation of liability

Sound Buttons Hub and its operators are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the site. Use is at your own risk.
